our minds are like death camps

controlled by society and outside forces

limited to the constraints they set upon us

some of us are subject to humiliation and ridicule 

simply because we are unlike others 

or maybe because we can’t work like we used to 

our minds imprison us more than a jail ever could 

society jumping at every chance to promote fear

in the minds of some, many things die 

the will to live even becomes obsolete 

in some cases 

we set up rules for ourselves

then society gets upset when they’re not followed

but these rules...

they’re impossible to fulfill 

sometimes rules are made to impose fear 

but most times they’re a means of control that is simply guided by it

to those who may be stronger than us,

they are only strong in terms of who they know

but us....

we are as strong as we allow ourselves to be 

in the mind of people like us, we are free. 

at least we should be..

but sometimes these constraints carry over 

and bleed into the brain

causing massive trauma 

and a world that cannot be explained 

our world revolves around the source

but often times, we run off course 

and we are subject to these societal standards 

engraved in our minds 

and there... 

that is where we’re left to die
