The BeYOUtiful Truth.
I am not 𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕗𝕖𝕔𝕥…
I am a human being.
I do not live the fanciest lifestyle ever.
And I am nowhere near where I know I will go.
But, I am living my most authentic life.
I am living unapologetically, for myself.
I’m doing the things I love.
I see the people I love.
I am cherishing this world more than I ever have.
I am learning.
I am growing.
And most of all, I am changing.
I’m not the same person I used to be.
If you knew the “old” me,
you’d probably know me as someone I no longer identify with.
And that’s okay.
If you want to remember me as that version of myself, that’s okay.
If you want to continue to see me through those eyes, go ahead.
But I will continue to change.
And you will continue to further yourself from my true nature.
By choosing to see me in that way only, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage.
You are missing my true light.
Honestly,
Growing up was really hard for me.
I didn’t have many friends.
I moved a lot as a kid.
So when people did give me attention, I was all for it.
Sometimes I even liked having the negative attention fall on me because hey - at least it was something.
On top of that, my family was falling apart.
I can’t even remember what Christmas was like altogether - I can only remember tidbits from each house we visited.
The one consistent thing about my childhood, was this idea that I wasn’t good enough.
I wasn’t pretty enough.
I wasn’t smart enough.
I didn’t have the newest clothes or toys.
I didn’t talk the same.
I was weird.
But I know now that I’m not weird, lesser than, better than - none of that stuff.
I simply just am.
I am a sentient being.
And I own that.
I feel like there’s a lot of pressure on social media today that revolves around making yourself look like the “perfect” person, or acting like you have everything together.
I struggled with this idea a lot in High School and even through college.
I didn’t know how to present myself online in a way that was authentic.
I wasn’t sure how to portray myself in a way that showed my true intentions.
I always felt like social media was a mask that covered up what people didn’t like about themselves.
What I’m learning is that while this is true in some instances, it is also true that social media can be used as a tool to AMPLIFY your true spirit and attract those who are like-minded and in alignment with your soul.
I’m here to tell you….
I am NOT perfect.
I DO NOT have everything together.
But I’m learning.
I’m evolving.
And I’m growing.
I am becoming the best version of myself every second of every hour of every day.
And I love that for me.
You know, life will never be perfect.
There will always be “negative” aspects, “positive” aspects; but the key is to know how to RESPOND to these instances in ways that will help you to be your most authentic self.
I am on a mission to be that version of me.
I know what she looks like - I know what she wears (anything she freaking wants to!), I know how she talks to others, I know the vibe she brings into a room; I know what her favorite hobbies are, what she likes to do for fun & outside of work. I know how much she loves her job & helping others to succeed.
Investing in myself was the best thing I have ever done.
Back in high school, I used to think about how I would HATE to have a 9-5 job and live such a mediocre life that didn’t send chills down my back or make the hairs on my neck stand up.
That thought followed me to college & actually made me act out in some pretty not-Maddi ways.
It created a cloud over my head - that my life was going to be miserable, that I wouldn’t ever find something to do that makes me genuinely happy.
That cloud followed me into my daily interactions, conversations & everything else you can think of.
I am so ecstatic that I have taken back my power and am now living authentically, in alignment with my truest desires and goals.
What I want to see in this world is more people breaking the status-quo; more people following their dreams, working to better themselves & most of all, NOT SETTLING for anything because they know that the universe always delivers the desired outcome.
You are worth everything.
You are capable of more than you know.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Break the chains.
Start a riot.
Come back to your true self.
Oh…the freedom you will feel.
Thank me later.
Love always,
Mads
