SUBCONSCIOUS VS. CONSCIOUSNESS

SUBCONSCIOUS v. CONSCIOUSNESS

Okay, this might be a lot for some to understand…sometimes I don’t even fully understand the way my mind works.

Abraham Hicks said something one time, in some rampage I was listening to, about the subconscious….

To put it simply, she said:

it doesn’t exist.

Of course, the subconscious exists.

It is the dream state.

It is the level of our mind that we access when we are sleeping + when we are in meditation.

What she meant here, was that the way we view “subconscious” + “conscious” is flawed.

Limited.

We have this collective belief that the subconscious is something buried, something we can’t control.

Something that impacts us without our knowing.

Something we have to go to therapy for, to rewire.

True… but untrue.

If something is impacting you, it is most definitely a conscious aspect of yourself.

The missing aspect is AWARENESS.

Consciousness is an umbrella statement for all forms of consciousness.

They are not separate from each other.

Yes, different areas of the brain are activated, but that doesn’t mean that the subconscious is unattainable, or something that we must rewire or “fix.” The subconscious mind is doing exactly as it should be.

It is up to us to make conscious decisions around what energy we are cultivating in our lives.

When we’re referring to our “subconscious,” what we’re really referring to is usually a combination of two things: our unawareness in relation to our consciousness +/or our collective pain body that we have identified as our own.

The pain body is an energetic state we can tap into.

Eckhartt Tolle talks about this in his work + emphasizes our ability to either activate, or ignore this energy.

Our pain body is activated, usually unknowingly, when we are in situations that relay our trauma, when we are experiencing trauma, or when we are lost in a story that solidifies our trauma/pain/hurt.

This is a very powerful stream of consciousness + it CAN create unwanted desires.

When we tap into this stream of consciousness, we are adding momentum to what we DON’T want.

This is where our unawareness of our consciousness comes in.

We have full control over what stream we are swimming in.

Naturally, we gravitate towards what others are engaging in +/or what our emotions are in resonance with.

It is the unawareness of where our consciousness is swimming that brings up these “subconscious” tendencies that we like to say need “fixing.”

It’s not the energy that needs to be changed, but our awareness surrounding where we are spending our energetic currency.

When we bring in awareness, we can CHOOSE to find a better feeling thought, we can CHOOSE to swim in a stream of consciousness that is more in alignment with what we DO want.

When we say something is in our “subconscious,” we are, in a way, putting it outside of ourselves + giving our energy to something outside of us - we are giving our power to our pain body; to our traumas.

Instead, let’s look at it differently.

Everything is consciousness.

There is no under.

There is no over.

Everything just is.

We choose where our individual consciousness swims.

We choose how we want to feel.

We choose what energies we engage with.

Our trauma does not define us or where our consciousness swims.

We are the creators of our own reality.

We create the knowing that everything is working out for us.

We entertain only that of our highest good.

Nothing is outside of you.

Everything is within.

Tap in.
