LET’S TALK PERIODS.
Ladies,
did you know:
right around the time we’re going to get our period, we are more susceptible to tapping into the collective pain body?
Hold up - what’s a pain body?
A pain body is collective (or individual) trauma.
The pain body likes to feed on things like itself; aka painful things.
It likes to make others feel bad.
It likes to be the victim.
It likes to play roles that serve duality + separation.
The pain body is activated when we are triggered, when we experience trauma + for women: right before we are about to bleed.
That’s why, when we’re about to experience bleeding, we often have a surge of anger, rage, sadness, despair, etc.
The thinning of our uterine wall is a draining of energy that is no longer serving us,
so that the new layer can be built with new knowledge + information.
Sometimes, the thinning of our uterine wall is a beautiful release + then we go on bleeding for the rest of our cycle.
But often times, the opposite happens - we feel pain.
With the thinning of the uterine wall, comes a thinning of our boundaries (if we aren’t aware) -
it’s literally like we’re being reborn… well, because our pussy is.
OUR ENERGY IS SO VALUABLE.
THE RELEASING OF ENERGY MEANS THE SIMULTANEOUS CONSUMPTION OF ENERGY.
CONSUMPTION DURING OUR PERIODS IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL MEANS OF BOUNDARY SETTING.
BY SETTING BOUNDARIES AROUND WHAT WE CONSUME WHEN WE ARE EXTRA SENSITIVE, WE CAN HAVE FIRMER BOUNDARIES ALL AROUND.
This is a perfect example of the way that we can balance the polarities within.
When our feminine is feeling extra sensitive, we allow our masculine to step in + set boundaries.
When we’re unaware, our boundaries can sometimes be compromised.
By boundaries, I mean physical boundaries, but also energetic boundaries.
Women are known for being “sensitive” during their periods.
Well, this sensitivity stems from our internal realm looking for new, helpful information.
It is our being literally showing us that we are more sensitive to energies at this time.
Energy = emotion.
Emotion = new information.
If our masculine polarity isn’t well developed, we can sometimes lack the discernment necessary to filter in this new information.
You can see how it could be easy to begin, unknowingly, tapping into the collective pain body - aka the collective sum of everything we DON’T want. What sometimes happens during the bleeding process is we become so engulfed in the pain body, through unawareness, that instead of releasing energy, we take on more of the pain body.
Whenever we feel bad, it’s simply because we are not in alignment with all that we’ve become. Whenever we’re tapping into the pain body, we are allowing ourselves to be susceptible to energies that are no longer serving us.
Bleeding is one of the most extraordinary things i’ve ever experienced. It allows us to shed past cycles + gain brilliant momentum towards our desires through the cultivation of sexual energy. This is why blood rituals can be so transformative + manifestation oriented!
It is the awareness that bridges the gap between what we don’t want + what we do want. A simple shift in focus can bring us into an entirely different world.
HOW CAN WE USE THIS KNOWLEDGE TO OUR ADVANTAGE?
When we first experience any sign of the pain body - this can be up to two weeks before bleeding actually commences + sometimes during ovulation as well - we can CHOOSE to not entertain that energy. It’s easier to slow the momentum when something isn’t moving as fast, which is why it’s crucial to catch these emotional indicators as soon as they arise. Fear not, even if you don’t catch it on the first time, try for the second, or the third. Even if you aren’t able to redirect the energy during your bleeding time, the awareness is enough to form a new neural pattern in your brain - which will help you for the next time the pain body is activated.
THIS IS DISCIPLINE.
THIS IS LEARNING.
THIS IS THE DIVINE MASCULINE.
By enacting our own divine masculine energy, not only are we feeding our divine polarities, we are also excerizing that trust muscle between the two halves of our whole.
Personally, I’ve been experimenting with this process over the past few months + I’ve found that if I allow myself to sit in the pain for the first day of my bleeding, I can identify what, within me, is in resonance with the pain body - so that I may choose to release +/or transmute those cycles of pain during the rest of my cycle. I’ve found that doing this allows me to see limiting aspects of myself so that I can choose what kind of foundation I want to be setting for the rest of my cycle - integrating that into the whole of my existence.
Anytime the pain body sets in again, I simply observe and adjust - release if needed. Working with plant medicine as well as the earth and her elements is super helpful in this process.
It’s also beautiful if you have a conscious partner willing to do the work with you, because their awareness will help to deactivate the pain body as well. As long as one of you remains on the high flying frequency, then you can easily transmute + transition away from activating the pain body. It’s even as simple as allowing the awareness of the activation of the pain body into your existence. The awareness is the vehicle.
With or without a partner, this is such a beautiful phenomenon to experiment with!
